  • I could try and take a picture of the letter on my phone later and post it. Will see if I get a good enough image.

If Erudio have stated in writing that the threshold is £22K, that's dynamite, surely and could be construed as a deliberate attempt to obtain money to which they may not be entitled? No doubt they'll dismiss it as a simple admin error - but that's bloody serious?

Their FAQ on the websites says correctly that:
If you earn below the current threshold of £26,727 gross annual income (£2,227 gross income per month) you are eligible to apply to defer from making repayments on your loan for 12 months. You will be required to reapply for deferment every 12 months.

Amanda, have you misread the £2,227 monthly figure as £22,270 or something like that yearly? Could easily be done.

As could Erudio making the same error when typing up a new letter template....

No doubt they'll claim it's an admin error, but how the hell do they explain arriving at a figure of £22k?!

It's yet another major blunder and more evidence that Erudio's not fit for purpose... does make you wonder how much more they can get away with before the FCA finally steps in.

Yes it is very possible. I've had a family bereavement so have not been myself this week, so yes it sounds like this is what has happened. Although I will double check when I get home later. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and if it is the case that I was wrong I do so apologise to anyone reading this thread.

If you confirm/update us later that would be great. :)

Given Erudio's equal track record of gross incompetence and attempts to mislead people, either possibility is not out of question.

  • Good Morning

Sorry I couldn't get online last night. You are quite right I made a mistake in reading the letter. So sorry! It does state what you quoted.

    Thanks for that. :)

Tha't one less thing Erudio have messed up or lied about then, but honestly it would not have surprised most of us if they had tried that on.

  • Hello Everyone
Are there still plans in the pipeline for starting a new thread? I'm sure more people will be heading our way for informal advice and moral support etc. A new thread with the first few pages covering headings such as
Benefits, CRA checks, post and pre 98 regulations and agreements, Information on DAF etc would be most helpful.
