Athos , delay

I have been receiving benefits after an athos medical in feb 2013 , upon being granted benefit I was sent a TXT message. I was asked to fill in and send a new form by dec 25th 2013. I have not received any communication from them to say it is going to continue or be declined, what is the timescale for replying ? or dothey not bother if they are going to allow your claim to continue?

ATOS do assessments not medicals,however...you will be informed when the dwp decision maker makes his decision

ok thank you , the form has to be returned to athos , not the DWP.


is there a normal time delay , having just checked my TXTs the last one received from jobcentre+ is dated 03/02/2013


we have now got to week 13 after the form was deemed to be delivered , 3 mths seems a long time to be held in suspense?

the form will be sent to ATOS ( NOT ATHOS) they will then look at the information and any evidence you sent them . then the will decide if you need need to be asked to attend a medical with ATOS if they feel you dont need a medical then the DWP decision maker will make a decision on weather you are awarded the benefit or not it can take longer than the 13 weeks especially with the recent changes going on i know people who have waited 6 months for a decision.

just keep an eye on your regular payments you can contact the DWP if you choose too to see if they have made a decision or when you are likely to get a decision

People are waiting months to hear anything after submitting the ESA50 (the most I have heard of, thus far, is 9 months and still no word), ATOS and DWP have built up huge backlogs.
