Egg card - have no details!

Options
Hi,

My Egg card was closed in 2010 and I'd had the account for 10 years. For some time during that period (think it was about 2006) I was called and basically PPI was added to my account as a "trial" and despite me saying I didn't want it and wasn't eligible due to a chronic health condition they put it on anyway and it remained on for a while and I paid it.

Eventually I got them to take it off but they wouldn't refund and charges back then despite me saying I wasn't eligible.

So years on it seems I can get it back but it's a minefield and I've put it off for a while so I might be too late. I don't have any account details anymore and all I have is the address the account was held in. As Egg are now gone and my card wasn't transferred to Barclaycard due to closing it in 2010 I don't know who I can get the number off or get any further details. I can't fill out the PPI questionnaire as I hardly know any of the answers!

So what do I do next? Is there a number anyone knows of? Or do I just send a generic letter out to them saying the above and with my previous addresses on so they can find the account?

I know I'm probably going to get nothing as I know nothing but thought it was worth a try!

Thanks :)
