Changed to Npower dual fuel but only getting billed for electric!!!
I switched my duel fuel energy supplier to Npower using a comparison website in December 2013. I had a final bill from my previous supplier for my gas & electric. I am on a payment plan of £52 per month but for some reason since i switched only £32 per month has been taken from my account for electricity only. Gas is not even shown on my account on the website plus i cant even give any meter readings for the gas! I phoned Npower in January & it took ages to get through just to tell me everything should be sorted shortly!! I have now emailed them 5 times & had no reply. I am worried i am going to get a massive bill once they sort it out.
Any advice??
Thanks,
Tony.

Apart from the lack of Gas billing, the post is a bit worrying as you report your Elec D/Debit is worth £32 a month, but the gas should be only £20 - This is not the norm. as the annual Gas cost is usually higher than the Elec - There maybe something about your household to justify this, but check the figure from your own meter readings.
So far as Gas billing is concerned , WRITE a letter headed Complaint as to the lack of gas metering on your online access and failure to take D/Debit payments for the gas0 -

I have checked my usage & i owe them approx £121 from December.
I will write them a letter, thank you0 -
Sit tight if I were you - I switched to NPower in April 2013 and to this day they still haven't set up my gas account. Its a very tedious complaint with no time scale, all I've been promised is that I'll be given maximum amount of time to pay the gas that I owe (ie 24/36 months instead of 6 months) Disgusting if you ask me.0

Don't forget the back billing policy - they can't charge you for anything more than a year ago.
If they try, go to the ombudsman.Make £2018 in 2018 Challenge - Total to date £2,1080 -
You'll have to pay it one day, put some money aside in a savings account each month, equivalent to what you expect to pay eventually, then when they catch up, you'll be ready to pay.0

Hello bflare,
Thank you for your post.
If you can send me your details on an email to the address on my profile page I will look into your Gas account and see what the hold up is.
Thanks
