in Credit cards
Hi everyone!
Sunny Sunday makes me thinking about holiday plans.
I am thinking about paying for my trip by credit card. Just checked few offers for 0% purchase credit cards on MSE checker - M&S Bank, Tesco Bank (90% chance for card) and 15 months Santander (30%). Could anyone explain me few things as I am quite new to this subject.
- Is it for real? Is there really no hidden charges? Do I really need to pay only minimum amount each month? 18 months with no interest sounds great, but I am always very suspicious in this matter
- I have good credit history, earn around 23k/year before tax and haven't changed address for last 4 years - what kind of credit limit can I expect from those lenders?
- What other lenders and options should I consider?
- Can I simply pay for the trip by credit card and then calculate my "instalment" dividing total cost by number of 0% months and then pay it every month to cover whole amount by the end of free period?

As long as you make minimum payments, then you'll pay no interest for the duration of the promo period.
Whether you can be accepted for these cards, and what limit you get, depends on your particular circumstances - other cards and loan, debts, available balances, payment history and so on.0 -
Yes, but you are likely to get charged ~3% more for paying by a CC.- Is it for real? Is there really no hidden charges? Do I really need to pay only minimum amount each month?
Yes, but it makes more sense to pay just a little more than minimum payments and save money in a savings account to pay the lump sum at the end.- Can I simply pay for the trip by credit card and then calculate my "instalment" dividing total cost by number of 0% months and then pay it every month to cover whole amount by the end of free period?0
