Problems with BBC website/Flash

Am trying to listen to missed radio programmes on my laptop, have been doing this for months without any problems, but the last few days it keeps telling me I need to install Flash Player (which is already installed) so I followed their link and installed, Add/Remove programs confirms all installed but I'm still getting the same message.
I realise I'm probably missing something stupid/obvious
but I'm going round in circles and it's driving me nuts!
Any help/advice please?
Thanks

Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the end

Have tried uninstalling and re-installing Flash but still same problem.
Is anyone else having this problem or is it just me?Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endQuidquid Latine dictum sit altum videtur0 -
If its Flash Pro and you have a TP-LINK router you may have been hit by a DNS changer. Can you get to Google.co.uk ok? Check your DNS settings.

I don't know the answer I'm afraid.
But it may help someone to know which operating system are you using? And which browser?0 -
Thanks for your replies

Before we check your DNS can you provide a screenshot of the "flash needs upgrading/installing" message please.
EDIT: a quick DNS check. Run http://myresolver.info/
Click the (?) of the DNS recursive resolver and the description should come back as Virgin.0 -

Sounds ok then (DNS that is).jackieblack wrote: »Yes it does[say Virgin], thanks
Regarding the Flash popup (yes I can see it!) - I cannot remember seeing that style of pop-up before. -I'll have a look for it. In the mean time check that you DO have a current anti-virus running. (EDIT: I see you have a running MSE so you should be ok).
EDIT2: just tried with IE10 - failed (same problem as you with Flash12.0). Firefox and Chrome both work though. Looking at IE10 now.0 -

Try this. Click Tools (cog upper right) -> Manage Addons;
Look at "Shockwave Flash Object". Is it Enabled or Disabled?
If Disabled enable it (button is bottom-right of current window.)0 -

I get the same thing with Firefox. I don't use Chrome as DD had a problem with it on her laptop.grumpycrab wrote: »EDIT2: just tried with IE10 - failed (same problem as you with Flash12.0).
