Going to buy a tablet this week

I am going to buy a tablet this week and was going to get the Tesco Hudl- but before I jump in is there another one I should get?
My budget is up to £130ish.
I mainly want it for using the internet whilst in the lounge over the home wi-fi as the PC is in a bedroom and I am forever jumping up from the lounge to Google something or other.
I will also be watching a lot of films on it whilst away from the home and I would also like to be able to use things like catch up tv if possible.
I am happy to buy from a shop or online.

This is the one that my wife brought me for my birthday and I have to say that i am so impressed by it. I am even considering switching my phone from Apple to a Android powered one! And its just about within your budget!

I've just replied to a similar question on another thread and have cut and pasted my reply below:
My DS is currently fund raising for his best friend who was horrifically injured as a pedestrian in a hit and run before Christmas. He's still in hospital and will be for a long time yet. We're thinking off getting him a tablet.
After talking to one of my IT colleagues I'm sold on the Samsung Tab 2 7" which he has. He also has a Bluetooth keyboard which doubles up as a stand and protective cover and costs around £15. He has a USB adapter (under £5) for extra storage which would also take the dongle I have. He has a Samsung phone and tethers it to his tablet if he wants internet access. He has a solar powered charger for travelling and he can charge his phone twice and his tablet twice before the charger needs recharging. He has films on a micro sd card which he uses when travelling. My colleague is a high earner so wasn't restricted by budget when choosing his tablet. He now says he doesn't take his company laptop home anymore, he does everything on the Samsung Tablet.
I'm looking at the Samsung Tab 3 which is £139.99 at Tesco. I have seen a voucher code for £10 off at Tesco but can't find it - don't know if it's expired. John Lewis also have it for £139.99 which includes their 2 year guarantee. There's 4% off on Kidstart at John Lewis until 31st March and 1% off Tesco. JL aren't on Topcashback but there's 2.52% off Tesco.
I have an iPad which I love but I'm tempted to get a Samsung Tab for holidays.0 -
£19 more will get you a nexus 7 latest model. Just sayin'
Miles better than anything else for under £150 imo0 -
I've tried several tablets,Asus memo pad,Galaxy tab 3,Hudl,Nexus 1,and a couple of others all around the 130ish mark and went for this in the end-http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing/ipad-tablets-and-ereaders/tablets/advent-vega-tegra-note-7-tablet-16-gb-21812495-pdt.html

One of my colleagues advised me not to get a Samsung Tablet - mainly due to the amount of 'bloatware' that samsung stick onto their android and that it is better to stick to a tablet that runs a vanilla android.:beer:In My 'Permanant' Pre-Masters Gap Year

Looks very good and is now on my list- silly question though, does it have wifi?
edit- of course it does- i've read the specs 802.110 -
Horses for courses I suppose. I have another IT colleague who won't touch anything but Apple. But he has more money than sense.0

If you've got Tesco Clubcard points you might check whether there's an iPad in the current offers.0
