brilliant charity organisation who we have had several dealings with over the years
http://www.cats.org.uk/?gclid=CI2FzpzBlb0CFcF92wodQHIAbA
firstly with our beebs who was found as a feral kitten with his sisters and was happy to be handled after two weeks and gave us three amazing years (glasgow branch)
and more recently with jess our bsh, gave us plenty of time to think things through and julie who was absolutely amazing with jess, whos usually absolutely terrified of strangers but she was a natural with both our cats, the whole process was really easy and today was no where near as traumatic as i thought it would be, thanks cpl, keep up the excellent work (inverness and nairn branches)

I got my Ebby from cat's protection. She was 9 months old. We had her until she was 18. Then had to have her pts due to illness. Broke my heart.0

Our cat came from the CPL, they didnt have a stick up their backside like the rspca did and didnt need to vet us to find out what colour sock we wore on the 2nd tuesday of the month

Perhaps the RSPCA should install brooms up their bottoms - then they can do something useful (sweep the floors) as they walk about

I got one of my cats from CPL in Edinburgh, they were lovely to deal with and happy moggy is fast asleep in my room right now.The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0

Raffles (CPL Stroud), a replacement for Monty (ex CPL Stroud), was homed last November. He is a decent mouser, will tear your hand off if you give him W8Rz treat sticks and loves fish. he has settled down into a routine of I will be here for you to feed me, then I will lick my paws and do whatever I want.
As for those who a broom handle should be provided ... Laws until themselves. Once, we had 4 cats, and a nice cat basket, loads of room etc. yet they would sleep in small cardboard box. Said self annointed inspector from RSPCA, who paid a visit, that we were not giving them adequate sleeping space, as nebbed on by a nosey parker neighbout. he duly saw said basket, and room to sleep. And was shown were they actually slept. I told him he was free to visit later. A couple of nights later, he turned up, to find 6 cats in the box. Ours and a couple of a neighbours. He duly left bereft of words, realising that for all his inerference, them cats were going to carry on and sleep there anyway.0 -
I'm a big supporter of my local Cat's Protection. They have a shop where they sell donated items & what I like about them is unlike so many of the mainstream high st charity shops, they don't turn anything away. Their mantra is even if it just fetches 10p, that's 10p more to add to the coffers to help unwanted cats or cats in need of help. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0
