LCP / Roxburgh and Gladstone Solicitors

I genuinely passed through a car park twice in one day, the parking company had sent me a letter showing an image if my first entry with an image of my last exit.
As there was 8 hours in between they claim I stayed unpaid for that time.
So far I have ignored all letters since I know they are trying to pull a fast one.
Now I have a letter from Gladstone and wondered on advice how to proceed?
The letter is the same as this but with LCP rather than MET.

A simple search for a keyword (in your case, obviously 'Gladstones') finds stuff like:

Searching the forum always works well. Better than a new thread, TBH. I can't convert your link so maybe you found the MET thread I have linked anyway. Your case is no different - just a shame so many people aren't reading what to do in order to appeal and win at POPLA as it's as easy as pie.
Can't understand why the heck anyone is still following the OLD 2012 'ignore' advice in 2014, what is going wrong with people's research? We haven't advised to ignore a fake PCN since a year ago, and I was suggesting trying POPLA earlier than that, in 2012. We now win at POPLA every time and you've inexpicably thrown that away.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I simply re - used the advice I had heard before.
However this time with the letter titled from solicitors I did a fresh search, at this point it is too late but there was no way to know this till now.
As I found that advice was wrong I wanted to clarify details about LCP since I didn't want to assume I should copy the same advise incase it was different for MET.
Should I look to use the letter posted by Lazydaisy, edited for my own case?0 -
Yep it is the same, the letter suggested by zzzLazyDaisy is OK to send. But you do realise it won't get it cancelled (as per the MET thread, just means you have communicated instead of ignoring, which is better). You'll still get junk mail afterwards - please keep it all just in case.
Is it this LCP:
http://www.londoncarparks.co.uk/
Or this LCP:
http://www.localcarparkmanagement.com/
I think the former are more litigious than the latter but neither a big players. Very defendable if you need to, if they try a small claim.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

It is this company:
companycheck.co.uk/company/02999319
So send the great letter by zzzLazyDaisy and await a response.
I assume I should then be actioning the response rather than ignoring!
Thank you for taking the time to reply0 -
The first thing that you should do is to bring the matter to the attention of Trading Standards, (your local Council, not the inept and ill-informed Consumer Direct).
To charge for parking by time but employ faulty recording devices so to do is akin to watering the beer in a pub.
Demand that the TSO visits the site and inspects the cameras, ensuring that they are fully compliant with current regulations, regularly tested, and fit for purpose.
He may try to tell you it is a civil matter, it is not, it falls to be considered under weights and measures legislation.

Thank you I will do that as well as send the above mentioned letter to Gladstone.0
