i have just got a letter from parking eye saying i never purchased a ticked or was parked there to long. i am a dj and was in the car park unloading my van and setting up my equipment. i left a note on the dashboard and hazard lights on with regular checks on the van. how do i stand with paying or not paying the fine. i could probably get proof from the venue if i need to. it was in England and i believe the times are correct. i have read a few things online but its very unclear. can someone please help me.

First off it's not a fine, this is just an invoice from a private parking company. The reason they caught you is that they have cameras on entry and exit, so it wouldn't make any difference to them if you had your hazards on.
What to do is appeal this, you do that by first reading the sticky thread by coupon mad, on her first post is the wording you use for the first stage appeal. Popla being the second stage and is explained in that thread.
Complaints to the venue will aid you, if they supply a letter of authority to be there, then add that to your appeal. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.

If you can't get back 'home' to the first page of the forum you are posting on then you need to learn how, not rely on links or the forum won't work well for you in future.
So, please see my signature, the black words beneath my posts, which explain where to click off any thread to get back to the first page and see the current thread list.
