Is the voucher only available with the fixed tariffs which carry a £60 cancellation fee ? Read the small print. http://www.sainsburysenergy.com/products-and-services/energy/our-energy-tariffs/fix-and-reward-may-2015.html0

On their site the voucher is explicitly listed only for a tariff with a £60 dual cancellation fee. Another tariff has a £100 cancellation fee. Unless you know the voucher is being offered for the Standard tariff too there is little point tarting for it.0

Cash welcome bonuses (and vouchers that can be used in place of cash) are not allowed under RMR so I would imagine BG will be getting a call from Ofgem about this offer.0

The Sainsburys tariff was not a cheap tariff even with £50 off.0

Their 4 year fixed deal has ridiculous exit fees. £100 in total.0

Forget the £50 voucher-what matters is the annual cost with the voucher factored in.No free lunch, and no free laptop
