Will NPT 11 go down as the thread where so many people bought houses? Jelly, chewy and now Pastures. Congratulations everyone.

Nikks, did you buy your house last thread?

Indeed it will. We've defied the stats as well as everyone managed it without either the purchasers or vendors pulling out!

Just looked at the first post - I'd been in 5 months when NPT 11 started. I'd like to think I started a trend though  :D

We stick them in our green bin so they get "re-homed" at our local re-cycling facility. We are kind to them though, and give them lots of weeds etc so they don't go hungry. (Just in case there are any rabid slug-lovers on here!) The snails always crawl to the top of the bin, so we have to make sure we knock them back in when we need to add more stuff to it. Can't let them escape! :)

This is exactly what I've been doing :) so far, anyway...

So... in line with my all new "looking after myself" trend, I've booked an appointment at the opticians. The receptionist was surprised that it was four or five years since my last visit.

To be clear, unlike Dentists this wasn't a fear based thing on my part...

It was an inertia based thing. So, Friday opticians, tomorrow I go off to a meeting... and monday there's something on the cards for too...

That article has the best title I've ever seen in journalism.

So pleased for you PN. :j  Hope the actual move goes smoothly, and currant owner (tenant?) leaves the house sufficiently clean that you don't have to go mad with cleaning it all up. Don't forget to take lots of "before" photos - it's my main regret about our renovation. Got lots of "during" but very few "before".

When we go home we're going to clear out old home and get it on market ASAP - not before time! We prob won't bother overmuch about cleaning it up as it's a do-er upper, so will be covered in plaster dust from renovations is my guess, so there doesn't seem much point. :o

Generali, I've been sending the vibes every day, though not posting as it's been too ridiculously hot here the last few days! :rotfl: I'm glad you're onto your last treatment tomorrow (poss today here) and very much hope all your burny symptoms stop soon. Hugs from Bwlchtocyn. :grouphug:

NDG, wow to Isaac's birthday cake! Your Mum must have an incredible amount of patience to create such a masterpiece in icing! I bow down to her talent. :) Will we get a photo of the Roman Cake? (Pretty Please!)

OH has gone home to water the plants in front garden and do some weeding at the lottie. Back tomorrow. Where he will be rushing to get the rest of my plants here potted up! I think we're supposed to get rain on Thursday... Have one humungous pot to fill up with compost and water retaining granules and plant up (phlox, and a sort of ground cover plant with white flowers can't remember name), then there's tomatoes, parsley, chives, lettuce and french tarragon. I was too knackered after shopping yesterday to manage any planting myself today. We'll prob get it all done before the rain - we are masters of the last minute rush of planting!

Oh, and I've got 2 trays of lobelia too, forgot to put them in the main big pot, which is prob too full to slot them in now! :rotfl: I always overfill containers here at the caravan! The great thing about gardening on a deck raised above the ground level is it tends to be relatively slug free. :) So hopefully my new alpine strawberry plant will survive.

OH just texted to say he went to the lottie and spent about an hour there, then was driven home by rain! :rotfl:
