Thanks lir, I would love to know about the lawns, that's precisely why I asked... thank you! I would love a camomile lawn, DH saw it and only thinks of grass. Plus about 3/4 of my garden is sunny (it is south facing) but about 1/4 is very shady as there are a couple of tall trees in neighbouring gardens.
I don't personally care much for astroturf. That's more DH's idea. He also has a moth/butterfly phobia whereas I think they are lovely. It's finding a middle ground that's reasonable. The song birds though are the line that cannot be crossed. I want to keep them and they make me happy and in love with waking up in the morning. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

I'd probably best not comment on this. It'll only be taken out of context0 -

I tend to need as much assistance with that as possible!0 -
Is yossie a cat?
Give Daniel my love.
I am not on antibiotics, as I was not quite ill enough. DW qualified by having very low blood pressure, a racing pulse, and high temperature. She was treated for acute septicaemia and was given around 15 litres of IV fluids, mostly saline. The annoying thing is that she now feels better than I do. So, the treatment worked.
Gen, my thoughts are with you.
Goodness, GBD, have you told your friends that he nearly bumped the two off you off?!Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

2. Similar to 1, but using a gravel or slate base instead.
3. Have a non-grassed garden, but with a series of flower beds and paths. This will require more maintenance than 1 or 2, but planting will be carefully selected.
Slate's nice - there are other aggregates available too, e.g. shells.
Non-grassed is nice, but pretty permanent. eg. if you wanted to sell in 5 years you'd be wondering if it'd put people off ... if you'd used slate etc it'd be a simple solution to shove down turf.0 -
My thoughts too. I'd be selling Rizlas too.
Interesting fact. 'Rizlas' are actually called Riz La Croix. Riz because they were made from rice paper (rice = riz in French) and the La Croix (The Cross) is the name of the family that made them hence the picture of a cross on the packet.
That's a great bit of pub quiz knowledge0 -

I guess the problem is "proving it".... it might not be received well and who is to say that it wasn't something they had earlier and forgot about ..... tricky one, best to stay quiet.0
