I have been Russia (2006), Georgia (2007-2010), we participated with Georgia in 2011 (the rock band), and Russia (2012-13), before leaving for Armenia this year.

I usually have 2 or 3 countries chase me each year, so pick who I want to work with. 2007 was special to me (Google it), but I didn't want to get involved with the more serious side of the happenings in Russia this year.

Is that you on the wiki page?

I don't blame you regarding Russia although i'm glad she didn't get booed just now (I don't think)

Sweden was OK, France now on. The lead singer has a Jedward style haircut (as does one of the female backing singers - twins?). Apparently he "doesn't even know his cleaning lady ... but he wanted a moustache ... Graham Norton liked it!

Steel yourselves ... Russia up next. Another pair of twins. Apparently their hair is intertwined
They are telling "all the world to show some love, no one's gonna bring them down" ... nice pair of voices but not convinced.

I hope somebody has already explained that foundinrates (as we call lostinrates's DH) is the most delightful, caring and supportive husband imaginable, and the idea of him beating her up is highly amusing to anybody who knows them.

    No, nobody mentioned anything.

    :rotfl: @ his name.

I'm glad to hear that it was just maybe an over zealous nurse/doctor. I'd imagine it would be horrible to be accused of such a thing and as I say, i'm pleased it wasn't true.

    Does he post here?

There was some booing. Not as bad as Tuesday night.

They're only 17, so I feel sorry for them.

    And no, I'm male. It's a relative

I heard some when they were announced at the beginning, but didn't hear before the performance.

It's tough as it's not their fault Putin is a pain in the backside.

Ahhh right - I still don't know who is male or female, sorry.

Italy looks like Greek Gods, talking about the drains at the start. Now about the traffic in the city centre and parking inappropriately. I think they're referring to a city?

On reflection, I guess the olive leaf head circlets could be Roman rather than Greek! :D

Not one to trouble the top 5, I reckon.

Slovenia - she's miming that flute  If you're going to play an instrument on stage, do it right, please. Grrr. If she's "going to show me how to breathe", I'd prefer it from someone who knows how to breathe when flaunting a flute ;)

I like the security of exchanging, so that no-one has the opportunity to gazump or gazunder.

    I felt like this too.
Names list for Aelthebald - I can see the poor little sod actually ending up being called Aelthelbald at this rate!

Our previous shortlist - Daniel, David, Benjamin and Jonathan - all ruled out for good by OH apart from Daniel which is a cautious "maybe" (don't imagine enthusiasm, here).

OH had a burst of ideas this evening, though - Seth, Aaron, and Elijah.

What do NP think? Honest opinions welcome even if they are, "are you insane?!"

I like all the ones in your first list.

Seth and Aaron are OK, although Seth will be perceived as a slightly unusual choice. Elijah is a bit too "in your face" biblical for my taste. Although he could shorten it to Eli, which is about level with Seth on my personal biblical-ometer of names.

Ideally you don't want the same initial as OH or they will both be grabbing for post arriving to Mr X Orange.

Aaron is good, but will you pronounce it air-on or a-ron?

    Good points.
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

He doesn't get much time, He works insane hours. Before we were a closed board he used to have the page open sometimes, now its too much faff.

He has met some of the np in real life though, and knows who you all are. ;)

On a blue moon he'll use my log on or make a new one for a serious money saving query but so rare. His hours/pressure of work are the kind of insane that make you insane eventually, so searching for the best deal on something is just too much stress often.

Tonight after our day trip and insane weather gardening, he cooked supper, and went off to do chickens and dog walk, on his blackberry:(. He's working now but we are snuggled up at the same time. :)
