    Glad to hear it.

I have had an unxepectedly lovely day. OH was playing Tennis this morning and DD and I had agreed to go to a local shopping "outlet" village. It is relatively new (a couple of years) and I had never been before as I do not usually do shopping as leisure activity.

DD was driving and I remained noncommital about how long we would be out for, fully expecting a mother/daughter conflict and outlet stores full of sale goods. So thought I might last an hour.

No conflict:T. This seasons stuff in the shops (not MSE but stuff I wanted to buy) bought OH a hoodie from Fat Face...

....Oh's hoodie has to go back to exchange XL for L. I bought XL as he is 6'2" and long limbed. He was happy with it until I said it fitted well around his middle. He was not wearing anything XL that could imply it fits round his tummy it seems. To be fair, he is slim...so he is taking it back.

Thank you, thank you, thank you Spirit. DH has a really nice Fat Face hoodie. Very plain but with a nice zig zag detailing near the zip. He said he was worried that he's too old (48) to wear. I'm guessing Mr Spirit is a similar age so I can now tell him not to be so silly and with evidence. He looks great in it, so I know its not an issue but sometimes its good to have that reassurance. His is a L too, though he could wear an M in Fat Face, they didn't have any...

I must be the worst savvy shopper any where, I can see what I want to get a price on, it says you can split the pack......but I cannot see how.

So went to google shopping, and cannot get any results for what I want. :(.

Who knew twelve paving stones would be so hard to buy?
Having the same kinda problem. Went out today to do inspiration shopping (try & get design ideas, themes etc). One thing I know I need is bedside cabinets. Not seen any IRL or online that are acceptable. Went into dreams & saw a superb bed with no need for cabinets. But the mother isn't on their website as I wanted a further look, and that has made me:mad:
OH made a supreme sacrifice today - he went to IKEA. On a bank holiday.

IKEA is a really, really annoying company. Their website's pretty rubbish, too, it falls over regularly when you are trying to use it. We've been trying to acquire some more shelves and so forth for my study and the living room, as part of our de-cluttering efforts. We ordered them last Monday, they helped themselves sharpish to my money, and then sent an email on Friday pushing the delivery date back by 9 days (until 15th May) and saying that half the stuff we wanted wasn't in stock after all.

So OH and Isaac steeled themselves, went with a printed list of stock numbers, and ordered it all at the shop in Tottenham / Edmonton.
I went to IKEA last week to look for one particular thing. Found it in a better colour than the ones on the website.

    It's this:
    http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/80071319/#/80071357
I'll have my records stored in it, interspersed with other ornamental type stuff/lights etc. :) I wanted to measure it first, & the gaps are the perfect size for vinyl!
I want a picture frame from ikea. Well, I don't but its big enough and not expensive ( I have a big print to frame in a black frame preferably) and they said it was in stock. A friend in Brizzle drove over to get one for me so we could meet and I could get it from her, and she went round the whole store and it wasn't. :(. :o

My print is blue tacked to wall ATM. :o
I need some frames. Found another store with big frames where they're cheaper than ikea.

I'm going to need some larger frames too though. Bit worried they might need specially making or something...

RIP Elena, I too felt very sad at the loss of her young life.

It's tragic... Absolutely tragic. Sky was interviewing (Sky sports journo) Jacquie Beltrao today. She knew Elena and even though she's undergoing chemo herself and is off work, took time out to say what an amazing person she was.

Think Danny de Vito in floral dress and you won't be far wrong:o.

    Only artifice is manicured nails.

    :rotfl:
I don't believe a word of that (other than that you have nice nails)

jelly, are they for concert posters? You should be able to get them off the shelf if that's the case.

I've had lots of great ideas about what I'd like in my house... then I google it and find out how much that'd cost and realise it's not worth it (aka: the ideal solution is mega expensive) .... so I end up not wanting anything.

    ...

Having ideas is one thing .... paying for solutions is another matter.
Though very much the same today!
Went round stores like M&S home, Debenhams etc, like I say, to get ideas really.

M&S nothing in there was worth the money. Nowhere near. Ridiculously overpriced.

Debenhams I saw 2 or 3 things that were ok, only 1 thing really (a picture) that I'd actually buy. Saw an ornament that was again ok for £20 that 200 yards away was only £8!
Next at Home was also ridiculously overpriced.
Homesense was guff! Nothing in there was worth the price label.

How do these places stay in business?

It made me wonder whether people are shopping in there based on brand only?

Fortunately it got me thinking that it shouldn't cost stupid money to furnish in a way I like! :)

    Ooohhhh,

Keep me in the loop please, I was going to trim down the blank edges of the print.

I definitely want a black frame if possible but am open to style. A maxi frame as advertised on amazon is too small, but not by a lot....few CMs may be?

Mr S is 56. Dr Tifosi is a mere boy.

The hoodie is plain, no obvious logo. His other hoodie (the first he ever bought - last summer - is Henri Lloyd so that was my guide.

He told me yesterday how comfortable (meaning psychologically, not as a slob, nothing slob like whatsoever with Mr Spirit:)) he felt in his hoodie, so that is why I bought him another.

OH is usually quite clothes confident. Chooses carefully and well, clothes last.

On an unrelated matter does anyone hear use the three 1-2-3 tariff. I need to find a cheaper way to make calls. Oh and michaels did you say you used a telephone override service for making calls cheaper on landline service?
