DA!
I have a sudden urge for a raspberry Mivvi.
Didn't we do Too oringey for crows a few weeks back?
I must admit to being long interest rates with my 5 year fix...but also long housing which is probably effectively a short position on interest rates...hedged really.I think....0 -
You really should move to Sydney. I regularly see people in the supermarket in the pjs and about once a month will see someone in the CBD wearing a onesie.
I think the commute would be a bit much. After the stint in London, I've vowed the absolute maximum I'd consider is an hour each way. And I'd rather it was much shorter than that.
I couldn't sneak to the shops in my onesie. I don't think I could hide the tail and crocodile head-hood :rotfl:0 -
I don't have a onesie. Which I regard as my Good Deed for people obliged to look at me! The sight wouldn't be a pretty one.
I'm sure you and chewy look gorgeous in yours, though. Isaac has a winter-pyjamas type onesie, and he looks very sweet in it. Which, obviously, I've not told him, as he wouldn't wear it again if I did. "Sweet" isn't a look 8 year old boys aim for, I think....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

I'm not sure that gorgeous is the right word for mine. Snappy, possibly0 -

I definitely look like a complete idiot in mine, but it is warm.0 -

I'm seriously starting to think about that now, and we're thinking about moving further in, towards London, for this reason.💙💛 💔0 -

I can definitely recommend a short commute. My record was 4 minutes, door to desk.0 -
Ok, to update everyone on the right thread (d'oh) and to avoid confusion the next steps in my treatment are:
Monday I have a PET scan. I get injected with radioactive glucose. Anything fast growing (like a cancer for example) will need lots of energy and glucose provides energy for the human body. As a result a cancer cell will suck up much more glucose than a skin cell or a liver cell. If wait a bit and then look at the bits of you that are radioactive then you'll see if there are any other cancers in the body. That's the idea.
Tuesday I have an operation to remove Leon aka Leon the Lymphoma Lump aka Bloody LLL. That is also called a Grand Biopsy. They take the whole thing out, under general anesthetic, and then find out exactly what it is.
Wednesday Sit around at home feeling sorry for myself.
Thursday Back to work where they won't stab me with needles, chop my neck up etc.
Friday Work BBQ which I am cooking for:eek:
That might all get disrupted by chemo.
How long do the deleterious effects of chemotherapy last BTW?0 -

Your choice of course but I'd be fixing as long as possible right now.
I think people will be very surprised by how quickly rates will rise. NZ have already increased hers and I suspect it won't be long until Australia follows suit.0
