Got an interview for that job in Hertford :D

It's just the first round, but I'm looking forward to it!

Oh best of luck for that! Let us know when it is so I can do the Vibes for you. :);)
Ah, finally the world's following where I lead.....

    White's a winner.

Our whole house is painted white. Too much trouble to choose colours. But we find every room looks different - the light changes the white so much. Back bedroom is kinda green, reflecting the garden light. Front (main) bedroom is more yellow as SW facing so gets sun. Living room, which goes from front to back is a bit of a mix. Haven't spent time in music room to see what it's like in there as it's a bit full of boxes from old home... :o

    Wales...

Here's today's view. (which LiR may have seen already elsewhere)

But here's the mist we saw yesterday evening, which I think is kinda magical.

DH has two vacation schemers this Easter.

One keeps using smilies. DH says its hard to enforce when he knows I'm being a grimacing idiot all day.

Oh yes, don't get me wrong, I love the feeling that it's mine. But I'd also like to end up with the thing done up. Most of the time I haven't the energy to think about it, so I don't get stressed about not having the energy to do it. Reading the two of you and jelly discussing what you'd like to do to your houses makes me wish I could make a little more progress with mine, though.

I agree that this is key. It's taken me a long time to learn what my capacity for something is on a day-to-day basis, and not to kick myself about it if what I would like to do is beyond my reserves on a given day.

I have done so little. There is some stuff I really should get going on. Planning to make some phone calls tomorrow. If only because my parents are talking about coming over again and I don't want to have another conversation about why I haven't sorted x, y, z (previous conversations have all ended up with me very maturely reminding them it's my house so it'll be my fault and problem if it falls down).

Repeat after me "In my own way, in my own space, in my own time". Eventually they get the message ;):)

Wales is well known as a unit of measurement as are both the double-decker bus and Wembley Stadium.

New Scientist has a unit of measurement featured months. This month was the Reindeer Wee.

A Reindeer has highly acidic wee and must stop to do it. If they are forced to continue they die apparently.

In places where Reindeer are used to pull sleds, the distance between these necessary stops translates into English as a Reindeer wee and is 7.7km apparently.

I love this thread. Such a superb range of random information you never know if you'll need again :T

I use a smilie every now and again in an email at work. Usually if I'm saying something that it's going to go down like a lead balloon...
