    I've been Money Tipped!
Berwick on Tweed, perhaps? That's swopped between England and Scotland an awful lot, over the past 1,000 years or so. I think that's where Edward I had a number of rebellious Scottish nobles (men and women) imprisoned in open-air cages, pour encourages les autres.

After court this morning, managed to visit the GP to get antibiotics for my various bug colonies, shortly now to be evicted. Yay! By Monday, I might not look like a domestic violence victim any more.

I get blepharitis a bit. Swollen eyes are horrid. Hope it clears quickly.

It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

Encouraged my dad to make a family tree many years ago but not sure it's readable by current software.

Some chap in the US made a wikipedia article about one of my grandads, who played a global sport in the US, but not one that really took off.

I don't know the names of all my first cousins. There's nearly 40 of them. My kids have got six cousins, haven't times changed. :)

I've got far too many to even count right now......

A couple of months back, our family (me, my brother, an uncle, some cousins) put loads of pictures up on Facebook for other family members to enjoy. The upshot of that week of photo madness was some long forgotten memories for all of us and the reconnection of other family members, some I have not seen since I was a very little girl.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Because if you tell people that the storm will arrive at 10pm, loads of people will aim to get there at 9:59pm. By closing earlier you prevent people from driving through 100mp/h winds and torrential rain.

If you turned up to a shelter at 1pm or even now you'd get in. Once the storm hits they might not be able to open the door because of the wind.

They reckon any house built before 1985 has a good chance of having the roof ripped off at the very least. It's just lucky it's making landfall so far north. If it hit Cairns it would be chaos.

It's amazing what those guys up there live with.

I'll be fine. This is like you worrying about a storm in Moscow! It's the poor !!!!!!s up there I worry about. We might get a nasty storm in a few days as a result.

My cousin lives near Cairns and is hunkered down now....well, after they had a bit of a panic as her husband had misplaced the blooming duct tape whilst they were taping the windows!

How near? The storm is headed that way but Prevailing winds quickly reduce the rotation of the storn AIUI. Cairns will get plenty of rain and wind but nothing too exciting I hope.

Update from the weather channel is that it's made land and is messing up Cooktown but is already reduced to a category 3 cyclone.

It's due to head out to sea by Monday so we might miss it entirely down here which would be a result.

That improvement will coincide with your OH being off the scene. Proof positive he did it.

Wales is well known as a unit of measurement as are both the double-decker bus and Wembley Stadium.

New Scientist has a unit of measurement featured months. This month was the Reindeer Wee.

A Reindeer has highly acidic wee and must stop to do it. If they are forced to continue they die apparently.

In places where Reindeer are used to pull sleds, the distance between these necessary stops translates into English as a Reindeer wee and is 7.7km apparently.

In Greece they used to give distances between towns as numbers of cigarettes you smoke getting there (1 ciggy= 500 m).

I rmember when the Lebanese civil was was going on, with every third male in the country involved in the fighting, and 33 armed groups fighting on their soil, I was shocked to realsie this was all in area the size of Tayside Region, (OK, that doesn't exist any more, 4000 square miles, so half the size of Wales).

How on earth they're coping with an apparent one million Syrian refugees on top of their Palestinian refugee problem's anybody's guess.
