Will insurers accept proof of documents via e-mail ?

Hi
Do most insurers accept the likes of driving licences, NCD etc... via e-mail ? - or even fax? I don't particularly feel comfortable in sending original documents via post.
Thanks.

Apart from ncd proof copies will be accepted.
If your company dont specify how to do it try emailing as most accept emails.
Ask them to confirm receipt0 -
Send copies not the originals. A decent scanner/printer and it will be hard for them to tell the difference anyway.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0

When I recently switched my car insurance from Saga to Direct Line, Direct Line specifically said that a scanned copy of my renewal/NCB from Saga would be acceptable.
Direct Line gave a specific e mail address to send the this to. I got an auto acknowledgement that my e mail had been received followed by written confirmation in the post that all was OK.
All very simple and efficient - I was impressed!0 -

Same with Swift Cover. I could either e-mail them with the documents as an attachment or I could upload directly to my account on their website.0
