:bdaycake: Tru & Bitsy for yesterday

Had my unofficial IT "expert" on yesterday, updated next doors, she had got a bit of a PITA program on it, but managed to quickly find and fix it, let it run updates, and do a clean. When she has a problem she just switches it off and uses her iPad until I return and have time.;):o
Then decided to sort out an old XP laptop a friend gave me for my great nephew, so have am cleaning and loading, the PITA is all the windows updates!!

I am having a get the middle down ready for the wedding, after normal methods were not working, I am now going the Slimfast route, and have shed a couple of kilo so far. :D. Not a long term method, but if can handle it for a short time, so using up the freezer on DH :D so need to have a look in their shortly.

DH wants to wash the caravan roof today, together with the rest of it, but if we leave the roof we get black marks down the sides;). We are out on Wednesday until Sunday near Lincoln. I will walk Skye and continue with he PC, and have another tidy up in the Office.

    Flower situation hopefully resolved now.

(((Hugs))), Spoons, positive vibes & Hi5's as needed/wanted. Take care everyone. DG

    Morning everyone,

Happy birthday to Tru. I hope you have a lovely birthday.

    thXU22K1FI_zps3c2b0107.jpg

Its my daughters birthday today too. I am having my Grandson today and overnight whilst she goes and celebrates. Ive got a lot to do today so I must resist the urge to plant myself on here. Hubby is still unwell but he managed to go to work yesterday. He was supposed to go in today too but he hasn't gone.

Moorhen, thanks for asking after me. Health wise I'm fine. Had a few family dramas recently which have dragged me down but I'm soldiering on. I hope your well too.

Shopping today before my Grandson comes and I'm going to have another go at removing more colour out of my hair but as long as I purchase the remover, i'll be happy to leave the removal till next week. Heck it stinks! Talk about rotten eggs, smelly cheese all rolled into one! Vile stuff!

Donny-gal I share your pain. My diet hasn't been at the forefront of my priorities lately and the scales confirmed it in the week. Ive decided, what I need is to be fed intravenously as I'm an all or nothing sort of woman. I don't like half measures. Why do I find it so easy to look after everyone else but just not myself?

Anyway, this isn't get me anywhere, I'd best get on with today.

Have a great day all and enjoy the sun!

    Morning everyone :D

Many thanks for the birthday wishes much appreciated :)

Thought I would try stopping by and posting again. Just fell out of the habit....

Gorgeous morning here today, walked Luna, birds were tweeting, no fog :T off to take kids for a walk to coo at the baby lambs in field not far away later :)
I've got a mountain of weeding to tackle, my parents bought me a long handled fork as part of my birthday presents (my idea) so will christen that later.

Not sure about dinner, usually do pizza but DD has begged for rice so probably be cooking 3 different meals!

    Tru happy birthday

Notjustlaura very envious of your allotment. Have considered going on waiting list but not sure I can fit it in with the whole house and garden to redecorate and sort out.

Hugs and spoons all round xx

    Morning all,
:bdaycake:Tru Hope you have a great day!

Been to Mr T's to stock up on frozen and fresh stuff. Had my approved Foods order yesterday. Loads of cat food on offer, Buddy thinks it's his birthday, he never gets whiskas!:rotfl:

Sorting the garage out this morning, then ringing my rubbish man to get rid of it.

Got to get OH out of the paper so I'll go!
    Have a great sunny day!

    Happy birthday Tru.

Well yesterday was a bit of a washout we set off to go for a walk, took a look at the fog and rain over the hills and thought better of it. Just as well because I began to feel ill and spent the afternoon in bed and then was back there by 8.30. I feel better today though.

DH is planting the snowdrops we brought from mums and moving a couple of plants from a border we're going to get rid of. We want to turn the postage stamp lawn and said border into more hardstanding, we don't want to be bothered looking after a lawn if we're mostly here at weekends.

We'll probably watch the rugby too.

    Afternoon :hello:

    Happy Birthday tru :bdaycake:

Got up with OH this morning at 7.30, sun was shining and still is :) at long last the smell from the fields being muck spread has gone so I can make the most of the sun and hang my washing out :j

Pay day was yesterday so went through my spends book, and even though I have saved £200 on top of what I normally would have I did spend more on food shopping than I thought.

This morning I have been to the local town and purchased my new bra and pants (£90.00  ) not very OS BUT the bra's do last very very well, the one I brought 3 years ago is still washing and as bright a colour as it was when I brought it and it is so comfy so it is worth the money and is my treat for this month.

Dusted all downstairs, done some paperwork, picked bacon cobs up for my OH and the men working in the garage today, done one load of washing and have another waiting to go in, just going to have some lunch, nip to see my Grandma & Grandad then to see my parents then back home to finish the paperwork, clean the bathroom and dust upstairs!!

    Have a lovely day everyone.

    Hello x
Still reading but too busy or tired to post much.
My parents are running me ragged but hoping that they will be able to move to our town soon:eek:

I was up early as 3 kids to work for 5.30am. DD has found a new job working for Ikea (part-time) to fit in with her studies. I remember her saying when she was 6, and running wild around the store, that she really wanted to work there.

They seem very considerate as she cannot work for a couple of weeks when I have the first of my ops so pleased for her.

Hugs for a good day xx
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

DH has done some more in the kitchen today hopefully it will be finished by tomorrow then we can start on the utility room.

DD finishes at 3.30pm and DH is picking her up, but they are both going swimming so I only have to put up with a surly DS. He has been a right Kevin this morning:mad: So he is sulking in his room, probably playing a stupid game on his computer with his mates. Oh well at least he is out of my hair.

Off to do some pottering in the garden

    Afternoon all,

Happy Birthday Tru, forever savings oh and Judi's DD

Had a busy day cleaning and washing bedding.
I've just put the carrots and onions on to cook, Dh has requested corn beef hash for tea so nice and simple. I don't like it so will probably have fish.
Dh is making a new bath panel for the bath. I'd looked at replacing it but really don't like the plane white ones so he is making one and cladding it, then we will clad the bottom half of the bathroom and paint it a lovely sage green colour, cream tiles on the top half and a wooden effect laminate on the floor suitable for bathrooms. It's always felt too white a clinical so trying to warm it up a bit. My style is definitely more country cosy than minimalist. I like to feel a room is putting its arms around me and I like to be comfy and cosy.
Some of these hard lines square sofas and stark lightning make me shudder.
Anyway tonight's plans include a cuddle and a movie, all the kids are out thank goodness.
Off to meet my youngest brother tomorrow in Bakewell which is about half way between their house and hours. Should be a nice catch up.
Have a good day whatever your doing x

Thanks all for my daughters birthday greetings. She has spent the day at Warwick Castle. The shopping has been bought and put away and we will be picking up the little man at 5.30. Ive freshly cooked him a portion of carrot and potato and will mix his milk powder into it to make it taste creamy, just like I did with my own children. His Mummy normally gives him jars but at Nannys he gets the real stuff.

    Have a good evening all,
