Looking for a current account that charges 0% on 1-2k for 6-12 months in order to help towards a 2nd car. Need no other add ons, just a card to go with it. Who's best for this?
Thanks

Nationwide, and their FlexDirect account.0

Be aware that overdrafts are repayable on demand. They aren't a guaranteed loan.0

Halifax, provided you switch an account to them.
But just so we're not wasting our time, who are you with now?0 -
I'm with nationwide & have multiple product with them
Including flex direct I believe, which is a savings vehicle
Can I open a second one (will need to check if they meet my terms)
As I say, not interested in 'switching' - this is for a single one off purchase
Ps never had to pay an OD 'on demand' & never met anyone who has, so not in thr slightest bit worried, with back up cash
Just want to take advantage of some lengthy 0% action0 -
One sole plus one joint now (and for a few months).catoutthebag wrote: »Can I open a second one (will need to check if they meet my terms)
So that's what you meant by "Need no other add ons". I thought you were referring to insurances or something. As I say, not interested in 'switching'
You may need to look at credit cards and 0% money transfers then. Virgin/MBNA will do you 6 months 0% for a 2% fee, or 29 months 0% for a 4% fee. A possibility?Just want to take advantage of some lengthy 0% action0 -
Neither had I, but I've heard many stories:catoutthebag wrote: »...Ps never had to pay an OD 'on demand' & never met anyone who has, ...

In the rare case that happened, I'd unfortunately have to dig into EF (emergency fund)0 -

I'd consider cc but I'd most likely purchase a car privately so it would have to be cash0 -
A Money Transfer allows you to credit your bank account with funds provided from the credit card.catoutthebag wrote: »I'd consider cc but I'd most likely purchase a car privately so it would have to be cash
Once available in your bank account, you can access it as you want

Is that 0% ? Thought you couldn't do that or get a hefty charge ? Thought that balance transfers were from one cc to another0
