If you are off sick then it's whatever your contract, the one you,ve never seen, says. Do you normally get paid when off sick or just ssp?0

A month ago you said you were not working. Was this not true? Your entitlement to benefits will depend on how long you have been in work.0

So, by the sound of it the OP has taken a new job, whilst pregnant, without telling the employer?
Whilst that is perfectly legal I can understand her concerns that the employer will not be pleased!!!
OP, you need to tell the employer immediately! If you don't and they suspect you will be out the door on some pretext. Not legal, just realistic and very hard to prove.0 -
I'm not going to go routing though her other posts but according to this thread she has worked their a year - and is worried about getting her maternity pay...which in it self she wouldn't be entitled to if she had only worked their a month (assuming she is more then 4 weeks along)People don't know what they want until you show them.0

You're at the very least entitled to see the written particulars of the terms of your employment.
You are indeed entitled to this within eight weeks of starting.
However these days there is nothing you can do if this is not provided unless you have other valid grounds to make an employment tribunal claim.
You can no longer make this claim on its own. Even if you can tag this on to some other claim, there is also no longer an automatic award. At tribunal can, at its discretion, award up to two weeks wages. In practice this is only going to happen if the employer is badly at fault in other ways.0 -
You are obliged to tell your employer that you are pregnant, as they are legally required to carry out a Health and Safety assessment. If they ask you to do a task, and it leads to complications in your pregnancy you have no comeback, and they probably sack you anyway.0
