what do you do if you want to make a PPI claim but have no proof and can't remember who or when you have had loans from over the years is this a none starter !

You can write a Subject Access Request (SAR) letter to all the likely institutions.It costs £10 per letter so this could prove expensive with no guarantee of any result, of course.
