Lavender cutting?

It's really a couple of months too early, but why not? If you have the spare cuttings on hand, just go for it. It takes cuttings very readily (the Spanish, or butterfly kind {lavandula stoechas} slightly less readily). 6" bits, woody stem, tidy off 4" of leaves, bit of rooting hormone if possible, bung into a VERY well-draining soil (30% grit would be good), keep shady for 3 months, water regularly, but don't let it stand in water.
I've grow many of my more interesting cuttings by not following the experts' advice. I am no expert, though, so you can follow the above quite safely!

I usually take softwood cuttings, 2-3" long, dip in hormone, set round rim of pot, water well, cover with perforated plastic bag and put on well lit, not direct sun, warm window ledge.
You could also germinate seeds.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0
