Professional Candle making?

Hiya guys,
I want to start making candles - I want them to be 8 inchs high, white and flawless in shape, a decent thickness perhaps just shy of a bean tin thickness.
Is this possible from home?I.e to look like I'd brought them from a shop Ideally it would cost less then £2 a candle...or I might as well buy them still. :-)
