So what you're saying is that although the wine is 4 for £10.00, the price through the till goes down as the individual price of the wine. Does anyone know if this happens at other Somerfield stores, surely they will be aware of this glitch? I have a local Somerfield and wouldn't mind giving this a go if it works.
Happens at all Somerfields I've ever been to - probably 20 different stores.
The "glitch" has worked for years.
Of course the wine goes through at the individual price - you might only buy 1 bottle - that would be £6.05 (2 = £12.10 & 3=£18.15)
at 4 bottles (£24.20) a multibuy kicks in (just like 4 tins of beans at ASDA for £1) and a discount of £14.20 is applied making the total £10
a 5th bottle would cost you another £6.05.
at 6 bottles a 5% discount kicks in but to get the £10 deal for each 4 you obviously have to buy 8 in total.
The 5% thing is that it comes of the full price of the wine.
BY THE WAY - aswell as the 4 EMUS wine on a 4 for £10 offer, there is also a STOWELLS offer at 4 for £10
The Stowells is £4.99 per bottle so the 5% discount works out slighty less - 8 bottles work out at £18 - £2.25 each
