Received POPLA appeal date but...

Hi all,
I have received a POPLA letter with the forth coming appeal date on however I just thought I would have a quick check on the POPLA Code Checker
http://www.parkingcowboys.co.uk/popla-code-checker/
Yet it says that I have missed the appeal date by so many days etc... but I obviously didn't as I have the letter and I do have proof of postage too. I will ignore the code checker in any case but was just wondering if this was normal procedure.
Any ideas
Thanks.

no its not normal, it should have 28 days from the date of the letter in order to prepare and send in your appeal
double check it and complain to the BPA if its invalid (see post #6 of the newbies thread)0 -
Recheck the code, just in case you entered something incorrectly. If it still reports as out of date then contact POPLA to check.
http://www.popla.org.uk/contactus.htm
At the same time revert to the PPC and advise them that the POPLA code they've sent appears to be invalid, and to send you a new, valid code.
Whilst it's not the norm, it's not unusual for some PPCs to play this game.0 -
POPLA letter states "We have received your appeal.
This will be sent to PPC. The operator will send their evidence to us and to you before the scheduled day of the hearing ." (appeal date is next month).
"Your appeal will be considered on **.04.2014
You will be notified of the decision as soon as it is available"

Please confirm again as to what i should do

the popla date is a hearing date for your case (approx)
it has nothing to do with popla verification codes or the parkingcowboys checker0 -
It seems I misread the OP ... you have already submitted a POPLA appeal? And POPLA have responded with an appeal date?
If yes then your appeal has been accepted (into the system) and there's nothing to worry about.
The POPLA code checker needs to be used in accordance with the date of the letter you received advising you of the code. NOT the date of any communications from POPLA.0 -
The code checker is not actually linked with POPLA (i.e. it has no way of checking whether you have submitted your appeal or not). It simply works out when the code was issued and therefore when your appeal needs to be submitted by, it then looks at that days date to tell you how long you have left or if you're out of time.0

Why would you check your code expiry now, it's pointless? You've already used it in time and of course it would NOW show as expired because it's over 28 days old?! Not sure why you've bothered to do anything - if your POPLA appeal is in, you wait.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
