Estate Agents Blaming Me
Comments

" in addition this estate agent, David Daniels, charged a old couple on this road 1,000 pounds (taken from deposit) to cover "damages"
Total and utter XXXXXX
Now unless the landlord has had a video Inventory done by an Independent Video company and printed a copy off that you and he have signed HE HAS NO PROOF of the properties condition.
If you report every problem in writing and keep copies to prove in court LA/LL can deduct nothing.
Refuse to accept any damages and take it to DPS arbitration and you will win.
Landlord has to prove you caused damage so do not let the XXXXX get away with one penny of your money
Yes and people with strong characters can do that, I have done it myself BUT maybe this elderly couple couldn't face a fight or didn't know how to. Elderly people are still of the mindset that you should know your place.Blackpool_Saver is female, and does not live in Blackpool0 -
thanks dimbo and others. your advice kept me strong and i just had some news.
the agent sent two plumbers round and charged 200 pounds. the leak continued but finally contacted the landlord who sent a friend of his.
the friend did a real investigation and found out there are small holes in the tiles that leak down from years and years of overusage. he is fixing it which costs abbout 50p of materials.
without this i was due to be charge 300 minimum cos the agent was demanding i pay for the repairing of damage caused by leak, such as to carpets. Cud have been far more cos plaster breaking too.
thanks guys. you guys are doing a great job though giving people advice even though your not paid
THANKS THANKS THANKS!!!0
