Reclaim Mortgage PPI as over age limit?

Hey guys,
Just a quickie, my father has been paying mortgage protection since he has had the mortgage and has claimed on it after he fell ill and was unable to work (this was some years ago may I add).
After reading the small print it states you are unable to claim after the age of 64, my father turned 64 last October but the mortgage company have still been taking the monthly PPI direct debit up until today.
Would my father be able to claim back the PPI since Ocotber when he turned 64 has he is no longer eligible for the insurance?
Any help or responses would be appreciated

If he no longer remains covered, I would expect the extra months policy payments to be refunded to him.0 -

He just needs to contact the insurer and tell them his age. They will normally refund the premiums if he is ineligible. Its not complaining but just a general service call to the insurer pointing out his age/date of birth.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). I think you've misinterpreted "after the age of 64". Most PPI covers up until the 65th birthday. I would have thought they probably would cancel it automatically at this point.0 -

In fact most policies are 65 so insider101 is probably correct.0
