New person - parking ticket issues

Hello everyone, hope you are well.
I got a ticket about a month ago from Premier Parking (I think) when I left my car over night in a gated community in Kent.
They are saying that cos I didn't have a visitors permit, I have to pay??? Is this correct???
The ticket says "Parking Charge Notice" they did have signs up to be fair.
What shall I do?
