New Question HP ink contract printers

I have started another thread to ask the question HP sell 2 printers where you have a contract that will send you ink automatically before you actually need it.
The cheapest deal is £1.99 a month and I think this gives you 500 printed pages You can carry over the allowance from one month but only to the next month. I have had problems with Epson and blocked print heads The printer was refunded eventually as it was under guarantee and the problem could not be resolved.
Head cleaning uses an enormous amount of ink I know that all ink jet printers do experience problems with print head requiring cleaning etc. My thoughts are if I bought one of these printers and I had to do a lot of print head cleaning whether they would supply ink based on the pages printed rather than ink that needed to be used to clean heads. The costs of ink is so expensive a couple of sets and you have spent maybe more than the cost of the printer or a new printer. Also Curry's say if you take a 3 year contract with them £15 they will simply replace the printer without any quibble. Anyone have any thoughts regarding this Was thinking of Laser but posed a question yesterday and thoughts were that it might not be the best for me as I print only very small amount of material I did print off something on a regular basis to try and avoid the print head blockages
Thanks Sue

This is the HP instant ink contract - suppose it depends on how much you will be using it. I think the ink covered is for what's used , wether cleaning or not.
Avoid currys and their £15 deal - can get a new printer for that.0 -
Sounds like it's instant ink. They have different price plans for different usage. I'm pretty sure £1.99/month wouldn't allow you to print 500 pages (maybe 100 pages)! The printer keeps a tab how much pages you've printed. So if you print 1 photo, the printer will count it as 1 page printed; albeit you are using more ink compared to printing a word document. I'm not 100% sure but I don't think you will have to worry about cleaning the printhead as they will charge you based on the number of pages printed.0
