Buying a Linden Home-Think twice!

We have just experienced first hand quite how cut throat LH are which has now left us out of pocket and furious. During the build up to exc there is a lot of pressure put on to 'speed things up', the nice girls at site, suddenly becoming Dobermans with lipstick (you have been warned)…. In a nut shell on the morning of day of exc (28 days) our buyers pulled out, by 4pm LH had pulled out on us & put the house back on the open market! Not prepared to wait for us to find a new buyer even though we had used their LINDEN ASSIST service which basically takes over from the estate agent, so they choose who is the best buyer (in our case, first one through the door, offered full asking price, cash buyer, no chain) to go with and take the house off the market, quite frankly is it purely a marketing gimmick not to be trusted as in our case LH have run a mile because of the buyer THEY choose!!… We used their recommended NEWHOMESGROUP mortgage advisors to get us a mortgage which for the record they don't tell you there is a fee of £250 for (I've never paid a FA in my life!) this only came to light after the advisor had been at our house for over 2 hours and we handed over our CC to pay for the survey.
Yes I am angry and yes I am disappointed that we have lost the house and are out of pocket, but more than anything I am furious with the way we have been treated by LH from the moment you pay a £1000 reservation fee. YOIU HAVE BEEN WARNED IF IT LOOKS LIKE YOUR CHAIN COULD GO WRONG DONT EXPECT LH TO BE THERE TO HELP YOU PICK IT BACK UP.

FA's are either paid in commision, or from the buyer. You need to ask in the future, it seems hard to ask, but you have to.

Pulling Out? If they gave everyone else "just a few days more.." they would never sell homes. Deadlines are Deadlines, and they must be met.
