Confused and annoyed with Scottish Power part 3

Well finally, it is sort of resolved. After waiting nearly a month for them to sort it out , they have finally stopped asking for payment of the bill we shouldn't have had to pay yet. This happened after they received a written letter of complaint.

Strangely, they have moved the next billing date from 11.5.14 to 26.6..14

The only thing they haven't done is moved us back from standard to our fixed contract.

This may seem a strange question, but do you think I could now switch supplier or would SP kick up a fuss after sorting things out for us? Many thanks :)

You can switch at any time but subject to your contract/tariff/plan may have to pay a penalty .

I've followed most of the threads you have posted on this subject, and am glad the Complaint letter worked, at least in part.

However, you report that SP have not re-instated your original tariff, which from this post you seem happy to forget.

Look at it this way, you have suffered a great deal of stress & grief from an error by SP, that for a long time they refused to admit or rectify.
Stress and grief are impossible to quantify in financial terms, but the cost of your enforced move onto a more expensive tariff, can be measured to the penny
WRITE a 2nd letter headed Complaint, purely on the subject of your financial loss -What have you got to lose? SP have admited the error and cannot deny the enforced Switch - Are SP going to let the matter run all the way to the Ombudsman, pay his fee's and still have to re-imburse you, Not Likely
