N power absolutely useless

I am having problems with N Power with regard to billing and DDs. I emailed the CEO 4 weeks ago and am still waiting despite hastening 3 times - they obviously could not care less about their customers. Currently looking for another provider.
I am NOT a mortgage & insurance adviser - or anything to do with finance, that was put on by the new system I dont know why?!

What's the problem exactly?
Have you tried ringing them?

Anyone having problems getting their N Power meters read they have not been round for some time, every time I check online mysteriously it's always today's date ( for the last Month )There are more questions than answers :shhh: :silenced:WARNING ! May go silent for unfriendly repliesPlease excuse me Spell it MOST times:A UK Resident :A0

Its most likely that its due to everyone now emailed ceo email addresses, rather than their complaints process....p.s ceos dont reply or even read these boxes and have external ones.Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Had a meter reader come around last month I asked him how often do Npower read the meters he told me every six months.....inline with the billing period i.e two bills per year.
I read the meters monthly on the same date and send the reading into npower online....also is a handy way to work out the monthly cost/useage of each fuel compaired to the D/D amount....at the moment the useage and D/D are almost the same.
I can't say that I have had problems with Npower.0 -

It's not as simple as that.
Ideally they will try to read every six months but if you live in a rural area for example, it may be less often.Make £2018 in 2018 Challenge - Total to date £2,1080 -
how many millions of consumers need their meters read, against how many meter readers.....Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

And there Chanz you discover the root of the problem.
The chap who read my meters arrived in a car marked NPower....surely in this age of everyone being able to change suppliers as and when they like, it cannot make sense for the energy companies employing their own meter readers for just their own customers.
Maybe it's time to employ an army of meter readers from an independant company who can read a whole streets meters and put the readings on a system for each energy provider....even though just looking at the meter wouldn't tell them who the supplier is so they would still have to have some info for each property.
Of course in the fullness of time when everyone has a "smart" meter the usage can be sent from the meter to where ever without having to be read....even changing suppliers should not effect the system as the useage info would get sent to the new supplier....wouldn't it??
I can already see numbers of posts here in the future about changing supplier on a certain date but the readings still going to the previous supplier....so maybe an army of humans reading the meters isn't such a bad idea?0 -
By 2020 everyone will have smart meters so it will all be academic then. Well, that's the plan anyway - reality will likely be different.Make £2018 in 2018 Challenge - Total to date £2,1080
