Are there many Visa ATMs in Belgium?

I am going to Antwerp via Brussels on Eurostar in a couple of weeks, A friend told me that the Belgiums do not use ATMs like we do.
I would have liked to use my Nationwide visa flex account card to get some cash, seems like I may have to use the rip off bureaux exchanges unless someone knows different.
TIA

I have to say that Belgium is the only place that I've had problems using ATMs: we found last year in smallish towns that many of the Belgian banks' ATMs only service their own customers (no Visa or Cirrus/Maestro). You should be OK in the larger cities tho - I can't remember having problems in Brussels.0

I've never had any problems. Some even ask what denomination notes you'd like, I wish ours did that!0

I didn't have a problem in Bruges in May. My Canadian boyfriend used it too.:smileyhea "here, hare, here" :smileyhea0

I was in Brussels and Antwerp two weeks ago and had problems with a Nationwide (and my friend's Lloyd's) debit card at at least two machines. We were starting to think we were doomed (down to our last €5) - but finally found a machine which didn't reject our cards! So keep trying (and fingers crossed your card doesn't get swallowed) but don't be surprised ...
Cheers

I had problems in Bruges last year, also the Gare du Nord ATMs were no good for Visa.
Looks like Fortis Bank is the answer.0
