Do I still need PAC code it my phone is unlocked?

I'm changing my pay as you go phone to giffgaff. I have received the sim card and it is working ok but I want to keep my old number and they are telling me to get a PAC code.
I have a Tmobile phone that was unlocked a couple of years ago. Do I still need a PAC code - I have no idea what I am supposed to do!!

Yes, you still need the PAC. Unlocking the phone simply means that it can be used with a SIM card from a different network provider.
The Porting authorisation code (PAC) is what is needed to allow the new service provider to set up your account using your old number.
To get it, you will have to contact T-mobile. You will find all of the details here:
