lost Cardale Garage Door Lock keys

If you lose your keys..

There are online firms that will sell you compatible replacement barrels plus keys for as little as £7.09. (You may want to reference the spares section on the Cardale site to find out which type you have).

Alternatively if you remove the barrel, a locksmith will be able to cut new keys by using the pin profile.

I got a local one to make two new keys today for a client the cost was £15. Whilst that was twice the online cost they were available within 5 minutes and enabled me to fit the lock instantly.

Removal of the barrel is very straight forward, undo the Phillips screw that holds the nylon bit with the wires running to it, then remove the two bigger Phillips screws. Now the outer part of the lock will come away. All that is left is to remove the circlip, a small electricians screw driver is all that you need to prise it off.
