Hotel advertised air conditioning but didn't actually offer it!

    I think you just have to chalk it down to experience and take up the idea of venting your feeling on Trip Advisor.


    I was in Hong Kong one year when the temperatures plummeted overnight and everyone was caught unawares. They seemed to have plenty of air con (which stayed on) but no heating! We ended up wearing t shirts as vests and huddling in McDonalds with hot chocolate!

    We once stayed at a hotel in Italy end of September which was absolutely freezing. When i complained they said the heating doesn't go on until November!

    There are heating restrictions for hotels in most areas, as with the hours it can operate each day during those times.
    Some are allowed to heat from mid-October (North), but as you get further south then it could get to mid November before they are allowed.
    Energy saving at its best ...........!!!!, but at the expense of the freezing guest.
