How to speed up managing agent

Hi all,
I accepted an offer on my leasehold flat on the 20th May. Survey, searches etc have all been done, the only thing we are waiting on is the reply to the enquiries made to my managing agent. My solicitor first requested them on 30th May, then again on the 18th June. I am now chasing them up myself (phone calls and emails) but am getting nowhere.
Surely there must be a reasonable time length in which they should reply? I would hate to lose my buyer because of their delays. Surely there must be legislation out there- like the FOI Act?
Any advice appreciated!

did you not keep the statements sent to you every year?0

Yes, but they want 3 years worth and I have only owned it for less than 2. My previous solicitor (which is another thread entirely!) did not keep a copy (they retained all my documentation) either.
