I'm (trying) to clean my laptop up.
I've got the free version of Comodo Internet Security Premium. This also installed Comodo Dragon and Geek Buddy.
Is it OK to uninstall Dragon & Geek Buddy?
Thank you.

Thank you.
Another one please - do I need Silverlight?
Thank you.

Yes definitely. Geek buddy just lets you chat with a tech. Dragon is just a more secure version of the Chrome web browser.
You don't need either, although the browser is fairly good.Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

You might as well keep 'Silverlight' it's a Microsoft plugin, used by the likes of Netflix etc and some sites use it for uploads.
I think it's being slowly replaced as MS is finishing it in 2021 completely. It won't hurt just to leave it in case you come across sites who still use it.Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

Thank you. I've uninstalled Comodo Dragon but now I can't delete the shortcut.:o
I couldn't find Geek Buddy separately in the programs so I assume it's part of the Comodo Security package, but I've got a shortcut on the desktop - shall I just put the shortcut in the recycle bin?
Many thanks.
Sorry to be a pest.:)

Have a look in the comodo folder in your programmes there is usually an uninstall geek buddy link in there somewhere.
Failing that. The easy way.- Click Start > Settings > Control Panel
- In the Control Panel, click 'Programs and Features' (or 'Add/Remove programs' if you are not on W8)
- In the list click Comodo GeekBuddy
Hope that helps.:)Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

Hi and thank you for your reply.
I'm on Windows Vista Home Premium and I did uninstall Comodo Dragon through the Control Panel. When I went back in to uninstall Geek Buddy it wasn't there. It may not have been there separately in the first place, I just wanted to get rid of them both and clicked on the first I saw - if you see what I mean. It looks as if Geek Buddy came with Dragon and was uninstalled at the same time.
I had a light bulb moment (doh!) and have just restarted the computer and the Comodo Dragon shortcut had gone:), Geek Buddy's was still there so I clicked on it and a 'message' was displayed - something like "the component blah blah has been removed, do you want to delete this shortcut?" So I clicked "Yes" and it went:):)
Thank you for all your help.0 -

Can I ask something else please and I'll try not to bother you again.
I wanted to run CCleaner (as recommended on here), I'd already done Malwarebytes Anti Malware this morning. I'd used CCleaner once before so I clicked on the shortcut. I won't bore you with the next part but I've actually just done a scan with Sparktrust PC Cleaner Plus (Microsoft Partner). It's found 2032 items:eek: 185 System Problems, 63 Privacy, 1779 Junk, 0 Malware:) and 5 Performance and the next step is to "FIX ALL". Is it OK, I haven't got a clue?
I expanded the Junk and a lot of it seemed to be temporary, there were some Trusteer Rapport Program Data files and I uninstalled that yonks ago as advised on this forum.
Thank you in anticipation ...............

uninstall it , you've probably installed the wrong thing by clicking on an advert.
if you're trying to speed up the machine, the best course of action is backup and factory restore.!!
