Difficulty contacting Compare the Market!

Options
I'm getting a bit frustrated now.

Went through loads of comparison sites towards the end of Feb for car insurance. Although Compare the Market weren't the cheapest they were only a couple of quid dearer that the cheapest quote I had obtained for my partner.

Then late last week I went to retrieve those quotes only to find they didn't appear on my account. So I did a new request, which came out £30 dearer than the previous cheapest quote!

I contacted Compare the Market late last Friday night, then realising I'd missed some detail off sent a new contact request but quoted the original ticket number so they could connect the two. Once I sent each request tge next page states a member of the Customer Service team will be in contact within 1 working day. However, when you receive the email it quotes 2 working days!

I have resorted to posting on the Facebook page if Sergei - compare the meerkat on more than one occasions. I have also resorted to posting a tweet with their @name clearly stated on them!

I have now contacted them one last time via their contact page, but in the drop down box! I have selected feedback on our service, where I have said their service isn't all that good and what I have quoted above, plus that I wouldn't recommend them!

What I need is a telephone number for them, but can't find any telephone number to contact them on. That's why it's so frustrating.

All I want to do is take out a new insurance policy at the original price quoted which is still valid.

If anyone can help with either a telephone number or another method that will get answered within the next 36 or so hours, I would be grateful for your help.

Many thanks.

Why are you so bothered to buy something that is more expensive than you can get elsewhere? If its for the cuddly toy, you can buy them off of eBay and most will probably be cheaper than the couple of quid + the hours of your time already spent.

They are a website only service so dont have a consumer telephone number. You could call their PR department or the parent company BISL (Budget)'s switchboard and ask to be put through to someone but both are likely to tell you that they only communicate in writing.

The Meerkat's are going for £30 -£40 on Ebay, so more than the couple of quid I'd be saving over another comparison site.

Plus they are not even communicating in writing!

Am going with the original comparison site (not compare the market) and they can stuff their free toy - oh yes, they already are stuffed!

The baby goes for that. The more common ones are closer to £10 and I was factoring in your time as well as the few quid
