Inbetween employment

Just had couple of weeks in work which I don't know if will be paid
managed to get possible new job offered on 0 hours contract start in 2 weeks so I can avoid claiming jsa at least, I want to try for housing benefit as I'm getting desperately short of options to tide me over, will they need to know about the latest employment situation where I think the company just ejected from won't pay me anything or try not to, though I would be reliant on this coming in so intend to persue but it is still another 2 weeks to go in finding out
and I realise the severity of a zero hours contract in reality which is why I want to get the process started now, thanking you for any help

You can apply for HB.
It is not unlikely that you will run into problems, and only end up paid after the fact, when you're already in employment - but if you don't apply - you certainly won't qualify.0 -
Thank you, I'm going into my local council office tomorrow having started the process online, with being questioned as to how I've managed with nil income
their asking for
Proof of ID (OK)
Proof of national Insurance card (OK)
Landlord letter - though earlier in application it seemed only a contract will do which I don't have, only a letter last time rent went up which the landlord has made a few clerical errors in spelling of my name and postcode is wrong
They haven't asked but I been able to print of a month's worth of bank statement which will go some way to prove the rent amount and previous payment
Can they demand I go into Jobcentre (which besides being against) I really don't think I won't even qualify for contribution based JSA because of being in and out of work these last couple of years alone
Least I'll get it started0
