Any experience with temporary insurance from Privilege ?

Just wonder how much it could cost.
E.g. if am buying a new car and keeping the old one till it is sold how much extra would I pay roughly for a month (the current policy is £250 annualy, to make it easier assume the car that I am buying is exactly the same as the current one).
Also do you pay the amendment fee only once in this case ?
Considering whether to part-exchange the old car and potentially lose £1-2K or sell it privately..

What are you considering doing? Buying a standalone temporary policy on it or adding it to your existing policy as a temporary additional vehicle?
For a standalone policy there are no admin fees but the rates are much higher than an annual policy.
For a TAV amendment you pay an admin fee per time you make an adjustment so if you have to add it on a second time because the first runs out before you've sold it then a second fee would be payable.0 -

How much is admin fee and how much would be the temporary cover roughly, as percentage of the current premium ?All my life my mother told me the storm was coming (c) Terminator 30 -
Its been years since I was with Privilege. I think there admin fee is something like £30.
When I added a TAV for a couple of weeks the charge for the TAV itself was minimal, under £5. How many drivers you have on your policy does impact the cost. If you have an insured only driver then the impact is small as you can only drive 1 car at a time. If you have multiple drivers then premiums can be more as both vehicles could be out on the road at the same time.
Ultimately, call them, they'll do a quote0
