Are there any free business accounts available on the high street banks?

    Most banks do a free introductory period.

    From recent quick looking Metro and cater allen are the only two offering long term free banking but have minimum balances etc to qualify.

    if your a start up Lloyds /TSB and Bank Of Scotland give you 18 months free day to day business banking.

    Barclays 12 months, Natwest / RBS 2 years, Santander 12 months, HSBC 18 months.

    Not exactly high street, although owned by Santander, Cater Allen have a free business account, and if u apply via certain contractor forums they waive the £5000 minimum balance.
