Perhaps making them aware of this point might help?

My insurance came down when I said I might sometimes have to leave it on the drive. Apparently their statistics show that they have less claims, both accident and theft, if the car is on the drive.

Hire a skip and have it placed in the parking space.

We also live on a new build estate in the north east. Only been there 8 months. We have 3 cars and make the effort to fit all 3 on the drive, we all work shifts so it can be a pain juggling cars around as to who is out first in the morning, but we do it. It does annoy me to residents using the bays when most have plenty of room on the drive ways.

Just remember one thing - you have to have these people as neighbours for potentially a long time to come.
