Annoying and frustrating good news. I see Google earth have released information regarding up-dates for 2014

The frustrating thing is, that every time I try to install Google Earth, it fails. Having googled why this could be, I am amazed at the thousands of people who for whatever reason, also are unable to install this. Seemingly the problem has been around for several years, so one would have thought either the problem was rectified, or instructions were made available to overcome the issue.

A guess is that it might be the web installer as the problem .
if so a download of the full program may install.0 -

would you have a link for such please?, I've tried several. I keep forgetting to say I see something about me viewing in google lite, does that mean anything?
caught this "if you see a "Lite mode" link in the bottom right corner of the map, you're using a simplified version of Google Maps. In Lite mode, 3D Earth view and other 3D imagery won’t work.
Google Maps may automatically switch to Lite Mode if your browser or operating system is outdated."This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
"The things you love about Google Earth are now directly integrated into the map, so you can see the planet without a plug-in*. Or a passport.
*Available on WebGL-enabled browsers.
is WebGL somehow disabled ?
which are you using Maps (last post) or Earth ( original post) ?0
