There are currently rumours of reduced price champagne in the co-op if you have one nearby.
Otherwise, depends on your budget - the most in vogue white at the moment is probably Sauvignon Blanc (particularly the New Zealand ones).
Or for red - a nice Rioja? Vina Mara rioja is quite highly regarded.
