(Sorry Savvy, dont think about it loosing you an hour, but just that it is going back to normal after they gave you an extra hour a few months ago)
One of my 2 most hated weekends of the yearIt usually takes DS 2 until at least the Wednesday after to stop tying himself in knots over it.
And god help anyone who forgets to change a clock that doesn't do it automatically :eek:0 -

Its only good if you dont use it as your main source of internet, as you dont pay to top it up (you can) but you watch adverts when you are on your normal wifi, and that gives you credit to use the sim as and when needed. If you decide to look into it, and want a sim, if you PM me, I will pop a link on the referal board so you can get a sim for £2.50, as the MSE code does not work any more.
From Happy egg FB page.....March 20th - the Vernal Equinox - is a good day to try to balance an egg on its bottom. You've got a year to practise for the next one... (oops, just realise they are 4 days too late, darn, missed it again!!!)
Ok thanks Dave if I don't t go for one of these mi fi s I ll do that0 -

That's good to know princessmelody thanks, have left it in fridge until later, will get it out to defrost before I go to bed.
Teeny is a bonny baby thank you. Saw lots of her last week when they were down. And had lots of cuddles.0 -
Hi guys, I posted the other night about my PP that didn't work (there was no PP or 'you've saved' spit at all, despite buying over 10 items). I have an update
Re-entered my results on Sunday and got a message to say I'd be emailed my results within 24 hours. Got the email, followed the link and got my results with a link to print my voucher! :T Just like in the early PP days.
So it's worth bearing in mind that it appears that sometimes the little mice working the PP machine go to sleep :rotfl:, but the good news is that you should be able to get the PP online.
did I say "I" I meant aau10 -
Forgot to say had a quick meet up with the lovely PD while she was on her break yesterday.
Very apt we met by the MSE stand. :rotfl:
Shame we could not have chatted for longer but hopefully another time.0 -
Emerald have you been to the IDH yet, remember you mentioning it.
The goody bags were available from a stand on the left hand side as you walk in downstairs.
You got a roll of plenty, travel size sanex shower gel, mini essi nail varnish, dove hot conditioner treatment, aerial 3 in 1 washing pod. Couple of coupons. So not bad for freebies.0 -

They didn't give us an extra hour, that was just the one they stole earlier in the year last year, which they are due to steal again soon:(.(:rotfl:)
GMT has always been the 'natural' time to me and based on the sun being highest in the sky at midday. The hour forward just makes it elongated, instead of days running from sunrise say 4 hours before 12 till 4 hours afterwards (8am-4pm), they now run from 3 hours before and 5 hours afterwards. Not evenly balanced:(:( and therefore not finding favour with me, but just fits in more I suppose with you 'normals' 9am-5pm routine (except for many people it's now 8am-6pm, working longer hours than ever before). As I've doubtless said before, ad nauseum, the body clock, not just mine but many people's, never adjusts to the hour forward, the current version of which was devised by a 'morning lark' who got up early in the morning to ride his horses/take his dogs for a walk and wondered why people were still asleep when it had already been light for quite some time. (On that basis, in June, when the sun rises at 4 or 5am, we ought to have work starting at 6am not 8.30 or 9 to 5, yet they do not put clocks forward that extremely - thank goodness as even an hour is too much.)
It was certainly not created by a 'night owl' but instead is a particular system introduced in favour of a particular group. The majority win out: two thirds of people like the clocks forward and one third don't. So I am in a minority (we all are, at some stage). It's disruptive: Kantermann et al.: "The Human Circadian Clock's Seasonal Adjustment Is Disrupted by Daylight Saving Time." Current Biology 17, 1--5, November 20, 2007. DOI 10.1016/j.cub.2007.10.025. http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2007/10/071024123249.htm
And certainly, in my view, it never considered effects on human health or any other such matters. The human body clock is already programmed (we have a roughtly 25 hour time cycle so are already losing out by about an hour a day) and any interventions or adjustments to tinker with it by humans never work. The body clock never adjusts to daylight saving time. It almost has me bleary-eyed for a whole six (no, seven:eek: - they even keep it on for more than half the time:(:(:() months.0 -
