    Only just got that dotty.:doh:

    Combination of the names of a certain Scottish accountant and a talkative poster who has recently been ppr'd again. I did wonder what had happened to the 'regular' (pun intended) poster as I hadn't seen any posts from him for quite a while.

    morning SFSB, looks like I missed the episode of doof doof last night

    Hows things with you, your diet looks like its coming along nicely :) well done. Oh for the will power !

    Think I was in bed just before the doof, doofs and the funny username didn't occur to me till I read dotty's post earlier.

    The diet WAS going really well until I had a series of events recently where I had to be dodgy, so I haven't dared have a weigh in for a couple of weeks. Ill get back on the wagon properly after Easter as I need to prepare to get the budgies on again just after the middle of May..:rotfl:

    It's so sad when it is an item of value that you know someone could use but if your local tip is anything like ours they recycle all they can so it won't necessarily just go to landfill.
    With regards to decluttering your loft maybe set yourself say two hours per week and keep at it until its cleared. It will be really time consuming but think how fab you will feel when its done. Also you never know what you may come across that you could be using now:D

    Morning elite!

    Dipdap re: your clutter problem. It sounds like you have lovely ideas for certain items. But if you say the bits for the trike have been sitting in your house for 2 years then I think it's time to let them go. That's the problem with keeping things for an unknown time or person, there's no time limit to get them out of your house because you know what you might do with them but just never get around to it.

    Sort everything into piles. Charity shop/dump/definite present for someone's birthday or Christmas. Anything else you could take to a car booty? Good luck!

    Thanx both :)
    We already have 5 boxes full of stuff for charity so far, just need to work out how to get it there as I don't drive.
    I think I find it harder to get rid of the more expensive bigger stuff as its more noticeable. We currently have a 6ft wooden pool table cluttering up the kitchen that smells all musty and I won't part with it (despite it being hidden under the stairs for the past few years, hence the smell) as I'm sure I can clean the smell off and it will become useful to someone again :o
    Historic Debt August 2009 = £63,600 10th March 2017 = £0 100% paid all gone!
    Mortgage started June 2015 = £170,000 January 2022 = £134,000
    Saving for Xmas 2022= . . Amazon £55

    It depends on the situation :p

    Parenting;
    Give up; walk away
    Give in; spoil them
    Give it all you've got; do the best you can for everyone

    But when I put it in my signature it was relevant to my situation at the time. I thought it was more about effort;

    I knew I should return to work after my treatment;
    Give up; don't bother trying to return - get my sick note extended
    Give in; go back as I thought I ought
    Give it all you've got; go back and try to enjoy it! Nobody would want me to look after them if I didn't put love and care into my work :)

    Well said Logie.

    I'm sure it was your courage and determination and positive attitude that helped you.

    We should all adopt your signature.
    The world would be a better place if we did.
