My DD is staying with a friend tonight. She's just messaged me to say that's she's going to a 'Prom Show' tomorrow. Apparently it's like a wedding show but for prom related stuff :eek: What next?? :(

Prom shows belong in the same place as baby showers I reckon!

    Evening Elite,

Josie Ann I loved your 10 banana story in M&S, how long did it take and did you get any funny looks?:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Quality!

I didn't dare look around and it took ages! I should have used cash as that would have been quicker than putting the pin in for the cc each time. If challenged I was going to say that my 10 students needed one each for food technology to make banoffee pies (with fingers crossed that she wouldn't realise that it's Saturday tomorrow!):rotfl:
I'm not a teacher, the students don't exist.

Perfect, took the plunge this evening for a virgin BM. Bob was very accommodating with a £1.50 wys £15 and 5000 nectar points if I take their insurance;)

Raised an issue with the county council, regarding an area of a major A road, that's been coned off, under traffic lights, for approximately 5 weeks now, all traffic using one side of the road, asking when any repairs would be completed, or if, that roadworks had been forgotten...

    Their reply was:

"due to tree roots inside a failed drain, water pressure has damaged the carriageway's surface, which is so unsafe for the public that cars cannot drive over this.

The traffic lights are there to protect the public, and patching works will be commenced when the road is drier, and when the budget can be made for these works."

Drain damaged, water pressure, equals wet road. Equals still wet road, 5 weeks on. Not going to get drier any time now is it, unless the drain is repaired! D'oh!

I wonder if I'm the only one to make enquiries, is everyone else really so complacent?!

    Rant over!
